Giant Interview. -The Giant started
things off, saying Sting was a fully-fledged NWO member. However,
Lex Luger said it was untrue, and then challenged The Giant to a
Main Event match. The Giant accepted, and said Luger would have
to decide if he would side off with the New World Order. Luger
responded by spitting in Giant's face. Afterwards, approximately
7 luchadores attempted to destroy The Giant, but were
unsuccessful.
Ernest Miller defeated Yugi Nagata
w/Sonny Onoo with a Spinning Wheel Kick. -Yugi Nagata had the
advantage, because of Sonny Onoo's attacks on Ernest Miller.
Miller had trouble with his knees, but still managed to obtain
the victory with an unexpected Spinning Wheel Kick from the
top-rope.
Chris Jericho defeated Super Calo by
making him submit to the Lion Tamer. -Jericho came down with a
"Conspiracy Victim" sign and said him being
"ripped off" of the Cruiserweight Title was a
conspiracy. He blamed J.J. Dillion for the loss (who never
appeared whenever Jericho called him out), because Dean Malenko
was never actually a participant in the Slamboree 15-Man
Cruiserweight Battle Royal. He also said he will stop at nothing
to regain the Cruiserweight TItle. Jericho quickly finished off
Super Calo with the Lion Tamer.
Raven Interview. -After Raven discussed
matters on Saturn, Saturn confronted Raven, saying he was never
part of the Flock, and he will no longer be under their rules.
Raven apologized to Saturn. He then called out Mortis. A
disguised Mortis made his way down, and was attacked by the riot
squad. Another fan came in, who was the actual Mortis, and gave
Raven a D.D.T.
Fit Finley defeated Jim Niedhart with
the Tombstone Piledriver, retaining the WCW Television Title.
-Jim Niedhart put up a tough fight for Finley, but Finley was
able to retain the Television Title by nailing Niedhart with the
Tombstone Piledriver.
Tony Schiavone announced Booker T. was
the number one contender for the WCW Television Title. Chris
Benoit came down with Booker T's music, and complained about not
having another title shot. After Booker T. asked Benoit to let
him have the number one contender position, Benoit agreed.
However, after Benoit began to leave, he attacked Booker T. from
behind. Stevie Ray appeared, and told Booker T. to get himself
straight.
Jim Duggan defeated Brian Adams
w/Vincent by Disqualification. -A very frustrated Brian Adams was
disqualified after he attacked the referee. A fight continued
between Brian Adams and Jim Duggan. Duggan remained in the ring
with his 2 x 4, after Adams and Vincent left. Saturn
defeated Hammer with the Death Valley Driver. -When Hammer was
about to get the victory, he was distracted by Reese. While the
referee got in Reese's face, Raven came in, and Evenflowed
Hammer. Saturn didn't appreciate Raven's run-in, and finished off
Hammer himself with the Death Valley Driver.
Curt Hennig Interview. -Rick Rude
introduced Curt Hennig and said he is officially with the NWO
Wolfpack. Hennig began to bash Goldberg, and challenged him for a
match that would immediately happen. However, Hennig changed his
mind and said that match would take place at The Great American
Bash. Horace w/Lodi defeated Juventud Guerrera with a
Lariat. -Horace's power dominated Juventud Guerrera. When Juvi
went for a top-rope maneuver, Reese chokeslammed him behind the
referee's back. Horace finished off Guerrera with a Lariat.
Randy Savage Interview. -Randy Savage,
who was accompanied by Elizabeth, talked about his and Roddy
Piper's upcoming Great American Bash tag team match with
Hollywood Hogan & Bret Hart. He said Hogan and Hart will go
down. But, he is willing to take on Roddy Piper too since the two
do not admire one another.
Pre-recorded comments from Chavo
Guerrero, Jr's grandma. Chavo was going to translate what she
said, but Eddie Guerrero changed it into something different.
Eddie claimed his mother said she appreciates what he is doing to
Chavo Guerrero, Jr.
Dean Malenko defeated Chavo Guerrero,
Jr. by Texas Clover Leaf submission to retain the WCW
Cruiserweight Title. -Eddie Guerrero was going to give Chavo
Guerrero, Jr. the match, but Chavo proudly accepted it without
any words from Eddie. Chavo used his quickness to put up a tough
fight for Dean Malenko. When he attempted the Tornado D.D.T.,
Malenko reversed it into the Texas Clover Leaf to retain the WCW
Cruiserweight Title. Afterwards, Eddie got onto Chavo for his
loss. He dared Chavo to hit him. Chavo kissed Eddie, and smiled,
but then turned around and punched him. .
Lex Luger defeated The Giant by
Disqualification. -During the match, a fan tried to interfere,
but security immediately got ahold of him. When Lex Luger started
to take the advantage, the NWO Sting attacked him. Luger was
announced the winner by Disqualification. The Giant retained his
WCW Tag Team Titles.
