To start off the show, Bischoff did a
promo where he was training. During the promo, clips were shown
of Bischoff saying Vince McMahon should show up at the Slamboree
pay-per-view.
In some pre-recorded comments from
Mando Guerrero (Eddie's brother/Chavo's uncle), he said what is
going on between Eddie and Chavo Guerrero, Jr. is ridiculous and
is destroying their family.
Reese defeated Chavo Guerrero, Jr.
w/Eddie Guerrero with a Choke Slam. -Eddie Guerrero was the one
who introduced Reese, saying he was the same kind of wrestler as
Chavo. Reese dominated Chavo and finished him off with a Choke
Slam. Afterwards, as Eddie was getting onto Chavo for his loss,
Ultimo Dragon came down and put Eddie in the Dragon Sleeper.
Raven Interview. -Raven was accompanied
with his riot squad. He called out Diamond Dallas Page, and DDP
made his way through the crowd. DDP dived over the riot sqaud,
onto Raven. However, the riot squad immediately attacked DDP,
letting Raven demolish Page with a bull rope.
Fit Finley defeated Kaos w/Rage (High
Voltage) with the Tombstone Piledriver, retaining the WCW
Television Title. -Finley basically "dragged" Kaos
throughout the match. But with some help from Rage, Kaos was able
to sustain some damage to Finley. Finley retained his Television
Title by finishing off Kaos with the Tombstone Piledriver.
Goldberg defeated Sick Boy w/The Flock
with the Jackhammer, retaining the WCW United States Title.
-After a spear-shot to Sick Boy, Goldberg finished him off with
the Jackhammer, retaining the WCW United States Title. Riggs
attempted to attack Goldberg, but was unsuccessful. The rest of
the Flock remained on the outside of the ring.
Randy Savage Interview. -Savage
discussed matters on his upcoming Slamboree match with Bret Hart.
He said Bret Hart will be defeated, and he didn't want Piper as
the special guest referee. Bret Hart came out, taunting Savage.
Savage was wanted to go after Hart, but security officials were
holding him back.
Pre-recorded comments from Saturn: He
commented on the side kick, and directed his explanation to
Glacier, saying it's a basic move.
Saturn defeated Chris Adams with the
Death Valley Driver. -Before the match, Kidman told Chris Adams,
Saturn would finish him off with the Death Valley Driver. Hammer
tried to come down to the ring, but security officials held him
back. Although Adams put up somewhat of a tough fight for Saturn,
Saturn executed the standing side kick, followed by the Death
Valley Driver for the win.
Chris Benoit defeated Rage by making
him submit to the Crippler Crossface. -Rage made many mistakes,
letting Benoit eventually defeat him with the Crippler Crossface.
Eric Bischoff Interview. -Eric Bischoff
continued his talks on Vince McMahon. He read a letter from
McMahon's attorney, and it said McMahon would not be at the
Slamboree pay-per-view to live up to Bischoff's challenge.
Bischoff said the offer is still on the table.
Kevin Nash Interview. -Kevin Nash
started things off by saying that Eric Bischoff and Hollywood
Hogan wouldn't let Scott Hall appear on Thunder, after he was
eagerly anticipated to make his television return on the show.
Instead, he introduced Dusty Rhodes, as he made his way down to
the ring. Rhodes announced he would be in Nash's corner in a
handicapp match with Public Enemy.
Kevin Nash and Dusty Rhodes defeated
Public Enemy with an Elbow Drop. -During the match (one that was
expected to be handicapp), Dusty Rhodes started to get involved.
After Rhodes attacked Johnny Grunge on the outside of the ring,
he was tagged in by Kevin Nash. He finished off Public Enemy by
delivering an elbow drop to Rocco Rock.
Randy Savage defeated Sting by
Disqualification. -As the physical match went on, Bret Hart
entered, attempting a chair shot to Randy Savage. Savage stopped
him, however, and and went for the Big Elbow. When he was at the
top-rope, The Giant came down and put him in a bear hug. Kevin
Nash then came in and attacked The Giant with a chair. The chair
shots continued with Sting hitting Kevin Nash with one. The Giant
then told Sting he would be his parnter at Slamboree. But the
next day on Nitro, Sting will have to decide if he wants to join
the NWO. Lex Luger came to convince Sting the NWO isn't the right
decision.
