Live from Norfolk, Virginia
Tony Schiavone announced that The Four Horsemen were in
the arena, and that Goldberg would defend the Heavyweight Title
against Kanyon in the feature bout.
Rick Steiner defeated Hugh Morrus (w/Jimmy Hart) with the
Bulldog.
-Hugh Morrus had a new, shaved head. Jimmy Hart distracted Rick
Steiner many times, which let Morrus take the advantage at one
point. After Morrus missed an elbow-drop, Steiner took full
advantage, and finished off the match with a Bulldog from the
top-rope.
Ernest Miller defeated Nick Dinsmore with a Spinning Wheel
Kick.
-Ernest Miller gave Nick Dinsmore five seconds to the leave the
ring. After the five seconds expired, Dinsmore remained in the
ring, causing the match to get underway. Miller dominated
Dinsmore and finished him off with a Spinning Wheel Kick.
Saturn defeated Psychosis with a Frog Splash.
-At first, Saturn had the advantage, but lost it once Lodi
appeared. Lodi distracted Saturn, holding up signs that said
Saturn supposedly ruined his life. Psychosis took the advantage,
while Lodi made his way back to the locker room. After Saturn hit
a frog splash from the top-rope, he took the victory. In the
process of the pin, it appeared Psychosis jumped out, but the
referee confirmed the victory was to Saturn.
Alex Wright Interview - (Wtih Tony Schiavone)
-Alex Wright rudely took the microphone from Tony Schiavone, and
told Schiavone to leave. Wright put down all Americans, and said
Germans were much better. Wright insulted European wrestlers,
such as Fit Finley, The British Bulldog, and Norman Smiley. He
claimed he could beat anyone.
Fit Finley defeated Barbarian (w/Jimmy Hart) with a
Tombstone Piledriver.
-During the match, Scott Hall, with an alcoholic beverage,
interrupted the commentating booth, and temporarily took Lee
Marshall's position. Hall said that Kevin Nash is not his boss,
and nobody tells him what to do. After Jimmy Hart got in Fit
Finley's back, Barbarian accidently nailed Hart. Finley caught
Barbarian from behind and finished him off with a Tombstone
Piledriver.
Diamond Dallas Page Interview - (With Tony Schiavone)
-Diamond Dallas Page discussed his upcoming Halloween
Havoc-Heavyweight Title match with Goldberg.
Raven (w/Kanyon) defeated Villano V with the Even-Flow
D.D.T.
-Before the match, Kanyon told the crowd to keep their noise to a
mininum because Raven had something to say. Raven said after he
hurt Villano IV, Villano V would be next to feel his pain. After
Raven made Villano V ram into a chair, he finished off the match
with the Even-Flow D.D.T.
Chavo Guerrero, Jr. defeated Disco Inferno.
-A very physical match between the two superstars. After Disco
Inferno nailed the Jumping Piledriver, he at first took the win.
Afterwards, Juventud Guerrera and referee Nick Patrick brought
out a paper, which showed a change in Disco Inferno's weight.
Disco was weighed, and was at 231, over the Cruiserweight limit.
The decision of the match was reversed, which gave Chavo
Guerrero, Jr. the victory. Afterwards, Disco rammed Guerrera into
the ring-post.
Alex Wright defeated Norman Smiley with a Neckbreaker.
-A very slow-paced match. After Alex Wright hit a Neckbreaker, he
took the win.
Stevie Ray Interview.
-Stevie Ray said he got a call from Eric Bischoff (who is in
Japan). Bischoff supposedly told Ray not to let The Four Horsemen
on television, since he is the enforcer of the NWO. Backstage,
Doug Dillinger was talking to The Four Horsemen, and let them go
right to the ring. Ray walked out of the way, and made his way
back to the locker room area. As he made his way back, Arn
Anderson nailed him with a crow-bar.
Four Horsemen Interview - (With Tony Schiavone)
-Arn Anderson said last week's Thunder was a free week for Eric
Bischoff. He said, on Thunder, they would take over WCW, since
WCW belongs to The Four Horsemen. He said Norfolk, Virginia was
Horsemen Country. Dean Malenko thanked Anderson for letting him
become a Horsemen, and said he wouldn't let anyone down. Malenko
remained upset over Curt Hennig's past turn on The Horsemen.
Chris Benoit said Bischoff should change the middle of his last
name. He also insulted Elizabeth. Steve McMichael said The
Horsemen were coming after Bischoff. Ric Flair said Elizabeth was
at the Hilton Hotel, and said that "Dean Malenko, the man of
the thousand positions -- I mean holds -- will show Elizabeth he
is a Horsemen." Flair said The Horsemen are ready to take
over WCW right in Norfolk.
Goldberg defeated Kanyon with the Jackhammer, to retain
the WCW Heavyweight Title.
-Raven did color commentary during the match, and simply
complained about being mistreated in WCW. Kanyon bragged, saying
he was the best, which costed him the match. Goldberg immediately
speared Kanyon and finished him off with the Jackhammer.
