September 17th 1998

By Joe De Leon

Hosted by Tony Schiavone, Mike Tenay, Bobby Heenan, and Lee Marshall
Taped from Lexington, Kentucky

• Wrath defeated Bobby Eaton with the Meltdown.
-Wrath dominated the match, and easily finished off Bobby Eaton with the Meltdown, which is a pump-handle into a bodyslam.

• Mike Enos defeated Lenny Lane with an Airplane Spin, into a drop.
-Mike Enos showed a lot of intensity. He finished off the match when he picked up Lenny Lane by the arms, spun him around, and dropped him to the mat.

• Footage of Ric Flair's past days in WCW was shown throughout the show.

• Backstage, Gene Okerlund interviewed Scott Steiner, along with Buff Bagwell. After being told by Okerlund that Bagwell faked his neck injury at Fall BRawl, Bagwell denied the accusations. Scott Steiner discussed his upcoming No Disqualification Match with his brother, Rick Steiner, at Halloween Havoc, and basically said he would defeat his brother, since he is the better of the two. Okerlund announced to Bagwell, that J.J. Dillion ruled to keep Bagwell away from the ringside area during the pay-per-view match. Bagwell went crazy, while Steiner continued to brag.

• Vincent defeated Scott Armstrong with an Arm-Bar submission.
-Vincent dominated the match, and finished off Scott Armstrong with an Arm-Bar submission maneuver. Following the match, over the speakers, a shout of laughter was heard.

• Ernest Miller defeated Rick Fuller with the Filiner.
-Ernest Miller gave Rick Fuller an option, where if Fuller left the ring in three seconds, Miller "wouldn't hurt him." Fuller remained in the ring, with action getting underway. Fuller put up a tough fight, but the moment he was hit with the Filiner, he was finished. Afterwards, Miller bragged about being the greatest.

• Curt Hennig defeated Norman Smiley with the Hennig-Plex.
-At first, Curt Hennig was about to give up, as he made his way down the aisle. He came back, however, and finished off Smiley with the Hennig-Plex.

• Kevin Nash and Konnan defeated Scott Hall and Stevie Ray (w/Vincent) via Countout.
-Before the match, Scott Hall did his survey, with The Wolfpac getting the most of the chants. Tony Schiavone announced The Disciple's match had been cancelled, since Disciple was no where to be found in the arena. Schiavone speculated The Disciple was not in the arena, as a result to his confrontation with The Warrior on Nitro. Scott Hall once again brought down some kind of alcoholic beverage, and tumbled around the ring as he wrestled. Kevin Nash did not get once chance to wrestle the match. After all three NWO-Hollywood members argued on the outside of the ring, they were counted-out, giving Nash and Konnan the victory.

• The complete interview of the return of The Four Horsemen, from Monday Nitro, was shown.

• Arm-Wrestling Match: Eric Bischoff (w/Buff Bagwell) defeated Arn Anderson (w/Dean Malenko).
-The arm-wrestling match was one that required the use of the left-arm only, which was a stipulation set by Eric Bischoff, because Bischoff knew Anderson has a left-hand injury. If Anderson beat Bischoff, Ric Flair would be able to return to the ring. Bischoff "chickened-out" and had Buff Bagwell take his place. Bischoff claimed "he wasn't specifically the opponent." Bagwell taunted Anderson, and the arm-wrestling match finally got underway. Anderson didn't stand a chance with the injury, and Bagwell easily took the victory.
