In some pre-recorded comments from J.J. Dillion, he
announced some changes of the Bash at the Beach card. The changes
were that Goldberg would defend the World Title against Curt
Hennig, while Kevin Greene would take on The Giant. Dillion also
stated that the WCW Executive Committee would decide in the near
future on the status of the United States Title.
Curt Hennig Interview - (With Vincent and Tony Schiavone)
-Curt Hennig announced Rick Rude was in Atlanta talking to
lawyers, so Hennig would not be forced to wrestle Diamond Dallas
Page later in the show. According to Hennig, the match would
supposedly interfere with the game plan that was set for Goldberg
at Bash at the Beach.
Public Enemy defeated Tokyo Magnum and Shima Nabunaga via
Pinfall.
-Public Enemy dominated Tokyo Magnum and Shima Nabunaga. Public
Enemy finished off the Japanese superstars after Nabunaga was
slammed through two tables. Afterwards, Public Enemy attacked
Magnum, after Magnum started to dance. Disco Inferno and Alex
Wright then did a run-in, and destroyed Public Enemy.
Ernest Miller defeated Villano IV with the Fillinger.
-As Ernest Miller took the advantage, Villano V made his way
down, while Villano IV was knocked outside the ring. Miller
managed to get the win, even though identical wreslters were
switched, with the Fillinger onto Villano V.
Eddie Guerrero Interview - (With Tony Schiavone)
-Eddie Guerrero first congratulated Goldberg on his World Title
victory. He accepted Chavo Guerrero, Jr's Hair vs. Hair challenge
for Bash at the Beach, and said not only would he cut Chavo's
hair, but he would shave it.
Diamond Dallas Page Interview - (With Tony Schiavone)
-Diamond Dallas Page was also another superstar who congratulated
Goldberg on his World Title victory. He discussed his and Karl
Malone's upcoming Bash at the Beach match with Hollywood Hogan
and Dennis Rodman, basically saying that they would be
victorious. DDP also stated that there is no way Curt Hennig
could chicken-out of his match later in the show.
Juventud Guerrera defeated Judo Suwa with the Juvy Driver.
-During the match, Kidman arrived. After two consecutive Juvy
Drivers, Judo Suwa was defeated. Afterwards, Kidman and Guerrera
went face-to-face, until The Flock interrupted and attacked
Guerrera. Juvy was left helpless, letting Kidman execute his
Seven Year Itch maneuever.
Steve McMichael Interview - (With Tony Schiavone)
-Steve McMichael continued a plea to Arn Anderson to reform the
Four Horsemen. Footage was shown of Anderson's interview, at a
past Fall Brawl pay-per-view, before he stepped into the ring
with Ric Flair.
Konnan defeated Stevie Ray by Disqualification.
-Before any action got underway, Stevie Ray announced that his
match with Konnan would be dedicated to Booker T. Konnan took the
advantage, leaving Stevie Ray to be in total frustration. Ray
used a chair on Konnan to get disqualified. Afterwards, Booker T.
appeared to put a stop to his brother.
Curt Hennig, along with Vincent, was backstage talking to
Rick Rude over the phone. According to Hennig's words, Rude said
it was a done deal that Hennig would not wrestle Diamond Dallas
Page later in the show.
Raven and Horace (w/Lodi) defeated Saturn and Kanyon via
Pinfall.
-The match between the two tag teams turned out to be very
physical. Raven was thrown onto a table outside the ring. As
Saturn attempted a dive, Lodi threw powder into his eyes. Kanyon
was then thrown on the table by Raven. Saturn, being blinded and
not knowing who was on the table, nailed Kanyon with a big elbow.
Saturn then threw Kanyon back in the ring to secure a successfull
pinfall.
Steve McMichael defeated Rick Fuller with the Mong Spike.
-Steve McMichael had to battle his way through the match. Rick
Fuller was finished off with the Mongo Spike.
Chris Jericho Interview.
-Chris Jericho demanded for J.J. Dillion to let him know who his
Bash at the Beach opponent was, since Dean Malenko had been
suspended. Dillion never appeared, leaving Jericho to say he
would still show at Bash at the Beach.
Chris Jericho defeated Ultimo Dragon by making him submit
to the Lion Tamer to retain the WCW Cruiserweight title.
-Chris Jericho used many different maneuvers to take advantages
when needed. After Ultimo Dragon missed a herracanranna, Jericho
executed the Lion Tamer. Dragon submitted to let Jericho obtain
the victory.
Kevin Greene Interview - (With Tony Schiavone)
-Kevin Greene first congratulated Goldberg on his World Title
victory. He said he has never faced an opponent as powerful as
The Giant, but stated he would put up a tough fight.
Curt Hennig (w/Vincent) and Diamond Dallas Page went to a
No Contest.
-Curt Hennig received a letter as he made his way down to the
ring. The letter stated that Hennig did not have to wrestle
Diamond Dallas Page due to a World Title match with Goldberg
coming up at Bash at the Beach. However, Hennig attacked DDP. DDP
out of nowhere executed a Diamond Cutter onto Vincent. The show
went off the air with Hennig running to the outside of the ring,
while Goldberg's music began to play
