To start of the show, the commentators announced that the
announcement from the PR offices would
be postponed.
NWO-Hollywood Interview.
-NWO-Hollywood had chairs, decorated tables, and limousine that
was pulled up near the entranceway.
They remained in the same place throughout the show. Eric
Bischoff questioned The Giant on his
upcoming Great American Bash-Tag Team Title match with Sting. The
Giant was very confident, and
announced that The Disciple would be his new partner once he
gained the titles.
Dean Malenko defeated Riggs by making him submit to the
Texas Clover Leaf, to retain the WCW
Cruiserweight Title.
-Riggs dominated Malenko and had total advantage. However, once
his knee gave out, Malenko strapped
him in the Texas Clover Leaf for the win.
Chris Jericho Interview.
-Jericho called out J.J. Dillion, but Dillion never appeared. He
said he would be receiving the Cruiserweight
Title before the show ended.
Juventud Guerrera defeated Kidman w/Lodi with the 450
Splash.
-The match between the two superstars turned out to be very
physical. Once Guerrera executed the Juvi
Driver, it put him in the position to successfully execute the
450 Splash.
Lex Luger Interview - (With Tony Schiavone)
-Luger first taunted Hollywood Hogan and said despite Hogan's
attack, Diamond Dallas Page was still
welcomed to join The Wolfpac. He also announced that he and Randy
Savage would take on The Giant
and The Disciple later in the show.
Eric Bischoff and Bret Hart Interview.
-Bret Hart offered Chris Benoit a chance to join NWO-Hollywood.
Booker T. w/Stevie Ray defeated Chris Benoit by
Disqualification.
-As usual, the two superstars showed a lot of intensity. While
the referee was arguing with Chris Benoit,
Bret Hart nailed Booker T. with a chair. The referee began a 10
count, while Hart encouraged Benoit to
secure the pin. Benoit refused to pin Booker T., and instead,
told the referee that Hart interfered. Booker
T. was then announced the winner by Disqualification and will go
onto The Great American Bash to meet
Fit Finley for the Television Title.
Dean Malenko Interview - (With Tony Schiavone and J.J.
Dillon)
-Dean Malenko handed over the Cruiserweight Title to J.J. Dillon
and said he would be able to regain it
anytime. Chris Jericho came out, thinking he would be announced
the rightful Cruiserweight Champion.
However, Dillon announced that Jericho and Malenko will meet at
The Great American Bash with the
vacated Cruiserweight Title on-the-line. Jericho's father
confronted him and told Jericho to stop his
complaining if he wants to be considered a real champion.
Konnan defeated Scott Putski by making him submit to the
Tequilla Sunrise.
-After Scott Putski missed a top-rope maneuver, Konnan took the
advantage and strapped Putski in the
Tequilla Sunrise for the win.
Saturn defeated Glacier with the Death Valley Driver.
-Before the match, Lodi held a sign reading "Raven
Rulz". Saturn showed his disapproval of the sign and
destroyed it. Raven made an appearance, along with his riot
squad. Lodi was standing on top of the ring,
and Glacier knocked him out with the Cryonic Kick. Saturn caught
Glacier from behind and finished him
off with the Death Valley Driver. Afterwards, Raven fired his
riot squad. Him and Saturn began to attack
the squad, until Kanyon -- who was disguised as a riot squad
member -- gave Raven a reversed russian
leg-sweep. The rest of The Flock came down but the damage had
already been done.
J.J. Dillon Interview - (With Tony Schiavone)
-J.J. Dillon called out Booker T. Booker T. said he wanted to
finish off the best out of seven series match
tournament fairly. Dillon then announced that Booker T. and Chris
Benoit would once again meet at The
Great American Bash to determine the final winner. The winner
will meet Fit Finley for the Television Title
in the same night. Stevie Ray was very upset over Booker's
decision.
Eric Bischoff Interview - (With Elizabeth)
-Both Bischoff and Elizabeth taunted Randy Savage. Elizabeth said
Bischoff was her new man.
Lex Luger and Randy Savage vs. The Giant and The Disciple
- No Contest
-During the match, Eric Bischoff taunted Randy Savage. Savage
walked towards Bischoff and was then
attacked by the rest of NWO-Hollywood, including Hollywood Hogan.
Lex Luger began to dominate Giant
and Disciple, but the match was called off. Kevin Nash came to
the aide of Savage, but was out
numbered. The show ended with Savage being attacked, and with
Luger in the ring with his two
opponents.
