By Joe De Leon
Hosted by Jim Ross and
Jerry Lawler
Live from Uniondale, Long Island, New York
Pre-recorded footage was shown of Vince Mcmahon arriving in his Corvette. Jim Ross said McMahon decided to drive himself to the arena, instead of arriving in a limosine. McMahon was helped onto an electric wheelchair by Pat Patterson, Gerald Brisco, and Commissioner Slaughter. McMahon made sure the entrance door was open so Stone Cold Steve Austin could have free access to the arena.
The New Age Outlaws and LOD
2000 went to a No Contest.
-In The New Age Outlaws' introduction, they proved all was fine
between them and the rest of D-Generation X. The new two LOD 2000
members were Animal and Darren Drozdov. Hawk did color
commentary. Hawk said he was sober, and that he took it too far
with an addiction to pills. Hawk announced that he and Animal
would be back in action as the LOD 2000 tag team later in the
week. Drozdov was apparently a tentative alternative. During the
match, The Disciples of Apocalypse (incluing Paul Ellering)
grabbed Hawk from the commentating booth, and began a
three-on-one attack. Animal and Darren Drozdov ran on the outside
of the ring to help out Hawk. Meanwhile, The Headbangers ran in
the ring, and nailed Jesse James with a boom box. James was
busted wide open.
Backstage, Vince McMahon, Pat Patterson, Gerald Brisco, and Commissioner Slaughter were shown watching Kane's arrival into the arena.
It was announced that Vince McMahon had stripped Hunter Hearst Helmsley of the Intercontinental Title, and a one-night 8-Man Tournament would be held to declare a new Intercontinental Champion.
1st Round IC Tournament
Match: Ken Shamrock defeated Steve Blackman.
-According to Jim Ross, Steve Blackman was ordered by Vince
McMahon to compete in the Intercontinental Tournament, when
Blackman was not 100 percent after knee surgery. Ken Shamrock
worked on Blackman's knee very well. After strapping Blackman in
the Ankle Lock, Shamrock took the victory. Following the match, a
masked wrestler (possibly The Blue Blazer) attacked Shamrock and
Blackman. Shamrock snapped once the masked wrestler left, and
once again put Blackman in the Ankle Lock. Several officials had
to break the hold.
Backstage, Vince McMahon, Pat Patterson, Gerald Brisco, and Commissioner Slaughter were shown watching The Undertaker's arrival into the arena.
Backstage, Val Venis and Terri Runnels were making out.
1st Round IC Tournament
Match: Val Venis (w/Terri Runnels) defeated Marc Mero
(w/Jacuqeline).
-Val Venis did a sexual joke before the match. Jacqueline was
wearing her new WWF Women's Belt, and her new blonde her, which
was actually the piece of hair she cut from Sable's. As Marc Mero
was ready to execute Marvelocity, Terri Runnels distracted him.
Venis caught Mero from behind with a Fisherman Suplex, to take
the win, and to take on Ken Shamrock in the semi-finals of the
Intercontinental Title tournament. Afterwards, Jacqueline
attacked Terri Runnles and the two brawled around the outside of
the ring, until Venis and Mero broke it up.
Backstage, Vince McMahon, Pat Patterson, Gerald Brisco, and Commissioner Slaughter were shown watching Paul Bearer's arrival into the arena. Bearer was carrying a briefcase.
Backstage, Michael Cole interviewed Sable. Sable was congratulated for her acting role on Pacific Blue. She said the only thing on her mind was gaining the WWF Women's Title. Sable ran right into Jacqueline's locker room, grabbed her by the hair, and strolled her out to wear the crowd area was. The two were fighting all over the arena floor, until Marc Mero and several other officials broke it up.
1st Round IC Tournament
Match: Mankind defeated Mark Henry.
-Before the match, pre-recorded footage was shown of Michael Cole
interviewing Mankind. The interview regarded Mankind's upcoming
match with Ken Shamrock at In Your House: Judgement Day. Also
shown was a pre-recorded interview, where Mark Henry did another
poem for Chyna. Right when the match got underway, Chyna made her
way down. After Mankind hit the Double-Arm D.D.T., he pulled out
Mr. Socko (a regular sock, with a face marked on it). Mankind
executed the Mandible Claw, with Mr. Socko wrapped around his
hand, to take the win. Afterwards, Chyna asked Henry why he put
the lawsuit on her; Henry said it was out of his hands.
Backstage, Stone Cold Steve Austin arrived in a cement truck. Austin was interviewed, and said he had to check out his equipment. Vince McMahon, along with his corporate associates, was upset that Austin was driving a cement truck. Slaughter accidently fell on McMahon's injured leg.
1st Round IC Tournament
Match: X-Pac defeated Jeff Jarrett.
-After the referee was accidently hit, Jeff Jarrett decided to
take advantage, and go for his guitar under the ring. When
Jarrett opened the guitar case, he found Al Snow's Head in there.
X-Pac rolled up Jarrett from behind, to take the win via Pinfall,
and to meet Mankind in the semi-finals of the Intercontinental
Tournament. Afterwards, Snow ran in the ring, grabbed The Head,
and left.
Backstage, Stone Cold Steve Austin poured cement into Vince McMahon's Corvette. McMahon looked in shock. Austin headed to the ring.
Stone Cold Steve Austin
Interview.
-Stone Cold Steve Austin thanked Vince McMahon for the
invitation. He said he would make McMahon's life a living hell,
since McMahon screwed him out of the Heavyweight Title. He talked
about refereeing the Heavyweight Title match between The
Undertaker and Kane at In Your House: Judgement Day. Vince
McMahon appeared in his electric wheelchair, along with two K-9
Police. Two dogs were barking at Austin, and Austin couldn't get
to McMahon. McMahon was also protected by some unknown masked
man. McMahon announced that Austin and The Rock would take on The
Undertaker and Kane later in the show. The crowd called McMahon
an @$$hole, and Austin took notice of it. McMahon said he would
hold Austin responsible for Kane and The Undertaker injuring his
ankle. McMahon said Austin violated him after the hospital
attack. McMahon said if Austin didn't raise the hand of the new
Heavyweight Champion at Judgement Day, he would fire Austin.
Austin said McMahon didn't have the balls to fire him, but
McMahon said he had balls the size of grapefruits.
Semi-Final IC Title
Tournament Match: Ken Shamrock defeated Val Venis.
-As Val Venis was making his way out, he was immediately attacked
by Ken Shamrock. After Venis injured his ankle, Ken Shamrock
strapped him in the Ankle Lock. Shamrock took the win, and would
advance to the finals of the Intercontinental Title tournament.
Following the match, Goldust appeared, and destroyed Venis in the
corner of the ring. Goldust nailed Venis in the groin.
Rocky Maivia was preparing for an interview with Michael Cole. Vince McMahon, along with his corporate associates and Mankind, was looking onto his destroyed car. Mankind was digging through the cement, looking for McMahon's briefcase.
Backstage, Rocky Maivia was interviewed by Michael Cole. Well, he actually kicked Cole out of his sight, and took it over. The Rock said the only problem he had was teaming up with Stone Cole Steve Austin. Mark Henry and D-Lo Brown confronted The Rock, basically saying what do they get out of the match. The Rock told Henry and D-Lo not to interrupt his interview, and they would discuss it later.
Semi-Final IC Title
Tournament Match: X-Pac defeated Mankind.
-X-Pac was limping from his previous match with Jeff Jarrett. As
the match went on, Ken Shamrock came down to ringside. When
Mankind was making his way back into the ring, Shamrock nailed
Mankind's ankle with a chair. X-Pac rolled up Mankind to take the
win via Pinfall, and to advance to the finals of the
Intercontinental Tournament. Afterwards, Shamrock attacked X-Pac,
and put him in a submission maneuver. Obviously, Shamrock wanted
to injure X-Pac, so he could have the advantage in the finals.
Mankind was trying to help out X-Pac, but Pat Patterson, Gerald
Brisco, and Commissioner Slaugher convinced him not to. Shamrock
finally let go of the hold, after having several officials trying
to put him to a stop.
Final IC Title Tournament
Match: Ken Shamrock defeated X-Pac by making him submit to the
Ankle Lock, to become the new WWF Intercontinental Champion.
-When returning from a commercial break, Ken Shamrock continued
to attack X-Pac. Hunter Hearst Helmsley was right by X-Pac, and
both he and X-Pac agreed that X-Pac would wrestle the
Intercontinental Title match with Shamrock. Helmsley did color
commentary. He said he understands all the legal stuff: a person
who doesn't wrestle for 30 days, must be stripped of a title. But
what he did disagree with was that McMahon never informed him,
and Helmsley found out by watching WWF television. After Shamrock
strapped X-Pac in the Ankle Lock for the second time, X-Pac
finally gave up. Shamrock became the new Intercontinental
Champion, and Helmsley would crown him with the Title the
following Sunday on Sunday Night Heat. Mankind came out and he
and Helmsley helped out X-Pac.
Backstage, Kane and The Undertaker were shown in separate locker rooms.
Stone Cold Steve Austin and
The Rock vs. The Undertaker and Kane resulted in a No Contest.
-During the match, Paul Bearer made his way down. Mark Henry and
D-Lo Brown also made their ways out. When The Rock was hit on the
outside of the ring, he was attacked by Henry and D-Lo. Henry and
D-Lo headed back to the locker room. Meanwhile, Austin was
fighting off both Kane and The Undertaker. Out of no where, an
unknown masked man nailed Austin with a nightstick. The masked
man took off his mask, and it was revealed he was The Big
Bossman. The Undertaker and Kane continued to attack Austin, with
The Big Bossman, Vince Mcmahon, Pat Patterson, Gerald Brisco, and
Commissioner Slaughter just looking on. McMahon was smiling the
entire time. The Rock remained on the floor on the outside of the
ring.
